Guidelines for Law Enforcement Agencies – Sofortfood Germany
Introduction
Sofortfood is committed to cooperating with law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable laws of Germany and the European Union. These guidelines provide an overview of how law enforcement can request information from Sofortfood.
1. General Policy
Sofortfood carefully reviews all law enforcement requests and only discloses information when there is a legally valid order. We reserve the right to reject or challenge vague, overly broad, or otherwise inappropriate requests.
2. Types of Available Data
Depending on the type of request and applicable laws, the following data may be provided:
Account information (e.g., name, phone number, email address)
Order history (time, date, delivery address)
Communication between customer and delivery partner
Payment information and transaction history
Real-time data, such as GPS locations of drivers, is not provided unless there is an explicit legal obligation.
3. Legal Request Requirements
Requests must:
Be submitted in writing
Be signed by an authorized authority
State the legal basis for the request
Be clearly and specifically formulated
All requests must be directed to our legal department. Preferred submission is through our law enforcement portal.
4. Emergency Requests
In cases of immediate danger to life or physical safety, authorities may request expedited processing. Emergency requests must be clearly marked as such and include contact details of the responsible officer.

6. Data Preservation Requests
Law enforcement may request Sofortfood to preserve specific data for a defined period. Such requests must specify the scope of the data and provide a legal basis.
7. International Requests
Requests from abroad will only be processed if submitted through existing mutual legal assistance treaties (e.g., MLAT) or other recognized procedures.
8. Transparency and Notification
Sofortfood informs affected users about data requests by authorities, provided this is legally permitted and poses no risk to individuals or investigations.
